HOSPITAL SURGICAL GUARANTOR SECURES $10 MILLION LINE
September 14, 2016—Los Angeles, CA
During these economically challenging times for Health Care in general, providing guarantees to Hospitals for care received by injury victims is crucial. Surgical Program Development, Inc., a health care management and hospital guarantor announced that it has entered into negotiations with HNB Capital LLC for a $10,000,000 line of credit. Such funding is especially important as it paves the way for injury victims to be treated in a timely manner while their legal representatives go through the excessively long time period that litigation could require. Historically hospitals have avoided lien cases as most facilities lack the resources it takes to wait for a settlement or verdict, frustration that is often shared by the surgeons. Denial of care is obviously especially hard on the injured.
“We have brought a win/win/win scenario for all parties” announced Brendan Bakir, CEO of Surgical Program Development and a 24 year veteran in Health Care. “A patient can get the care they need, the hospital gets paid, the surgeon gets paid, and the attorney for the patients settles with one party” Bakir explains. “We are now in a unique position to decide which hospitals we will deal with, we also assembled a team that evaluates hospitals and checks many variables including their Joint Commission status” Bakir added.
HNB Capital’s Managing Partner, Howard Brand, will lead the negotiations on behalf of his company, “SPD has had a tremendous track record managing orthopedic and spine programs for over a decade, and we look forward to a long partnership” said Mr. Brand.
